Terms of Service — SmrtCash#

1. Acceptance#

By creating an account or paying for a SmrtCash subscription you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service#

SmrtCash is a personal-finance application that imports bank + credit-card transactions, supports manual entry, OFX/QFX/QIF import, optional Plaid Aggregator-grade syncing, AI-assisted categorization, and household sharing.

3. Plans, billing, trials#

• All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. No card is required at trial start; we collect payment information before the trial converts to a paid subscription.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial periods.
• Failed payments trigger a 3-day grace window during which features remain available; afterward access is restricted until payment information is updated.

4. Your data#

• You retain ownership of all data you upload to SmrtCash.
• We process your data to provide the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.
• See the Privacy Policy for specifics on collection, storage, retention, and deletion.

5. Acceptable use#

Don't:

• Reverse-engineer the Service or attempt unauthorized access.
• Use the Service to commit fraud, money laundering, or to violate applicable law.
• Resell access to third parties without a written reseller agreement.

6. Termination#

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach (unpaid balances after grace, abuse, fraud) with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Disclaimers#

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not your financial advisor; output of the AI assistant and categorization is not investment, tax, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of liability#

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Changes#

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days before they take effect.
